Alex Stonewell was the
bookish best friend of Dom when they attended college. He has little desire to remain in
the Realm and focuses all his attention on finding a way back home to Michigan. Although
he was devoted to Marjorie Duncan, during a drunken spell he succumbed to the sexual
attraction of Letha Kazan. Discovered by Marjorie, Alex was never able to renew the
relationship with Marjorie before he lost her forever to the priesthood of Othariss. Alex
has incredible magical powers but seemingly has trouble manifesting them upon demand.
Before the Daemonstorm broke, Alex was under training with Delora and then Anomalin who
hoped to harness the magical energy of Alexs which may be the most powerful in all
Realm, an example of which was shown in the battle against Terroreck.
Marjorie Duncan
was the girlfriend of Alex who switched her attention into the Otharian religion. Gifted
with healing abilities, she also quickly assimilated into the priesthood which she joined.
She fell during the battle against Terroreck but a fellow priest claimed that she was a
Raven, a spiritual force in the Otharian religion which would be summoned when needed the
most. Her dying words were that she was going home but it is unsure if she meant going
back home to earth or home to Othariss, the God that supplanted all of her former beliefs.
Dominic
Wagner was an all American jock who was transported into the world of The
Realm. Upon his arrival, Dom gained great strength and a physique to match. Although he
was the boyfriend of Sandra Beech, another transportee, he almost immediately fell for the
elf, Serene Silverfawn. One of the four who were transported, he adapted the quickest and
actually enjoys the experience. His skill in battle is great, partly from his own natural
abilities and also in part from the training in receives from Diggorous Gorey.
Sandra Beech
was a close friend of the other three but after she was sold as a slave to Lord Darkoth,
she found sanctuary with the evil Darklord. Possessed of great magical powers, she is
seemingly unaware of how Darkoth and the grand wizard Zarkon are manipulating her. She is
just beginning to realize the full extent of her powers which were first put into play
when she released the Shinde Imas, the elven slayer It was Sandra who unleashed the great
destructive wrath of Daemonstorm upon The Realm. Again, it is unsure how much she knew
beforehand about the corrupt manipulations or whether she is working on her own agenda.
"The Friendly
Natives"
Serene
Silverfawn is an elf who has tremendous skill with a bow. Captured and sold
into slavery as a youth, she managed to escape after killing her master. She traveled
alone until coming across the transported youths who she decided to help and has been with
ever since. Although she is in love with Dominic Wagner, she is well aware of the aging
differences between them. While Dom will grow old and die, Silverfawn will age very little
in the same time span. The difference in life spans between the two is a dilemma she
struggles with constantly.
Diggorous Gorey
is the mighty dwarven warrior from the Grey Hills. Searching for adventure, he came across
the travelers and has accompanied them ever since. Never one to forego a battle
opportunity, his great skill with a battle axe, has saved the lives of others numerous
times. Diggy, as he is often called, has made it his personal job of training Dominic in
the ways of battle and feels a protective father-like closeness to him. Sometimes a father
figure to the others as well, Diggorous often acts as the self proclaimed leader of the
crew.
Grappo Pilden
is a common member of the Hairfeet who are noted for thieves and smugglers. Saved by the
others when he was fleeing some orcs, Grappo claims he only travels with the group for a
great potential profit. His loyalty however is unquestioned as he has gone of many
excursions when there was little of any chance of profit. His stealth serves the group
well as does his storytelling and songs. His wife and children remain in his native
village of Olardell.
Letha Kazan
is a warrior of great renown. Former member of the elite guard of Ardonia, the White
Unicorns, she was expelled for countermanding a direct order and banished from the land
she was born in. Living a life of adventure, she traveled with the group for awhile before
leaving them outside the wall of Ardonia. They found her later in the Black Mountains when
the group was in search of Anomalin. Nilson seemingly knows something of her past as he
questioned himself on their first encounter if she could be the one" .
Nilson Radeer
is one of the commanders of the Okoth Rangers and is possibly their most
respected leader. Although Okoth is not officially part of the Kingdom of Ardonia,
it is very loyal to the Ardonia royalty. The rangers are a military police force through
out the land of Ardonia and the Okoth forest and even though their jurisdiction is
limited elsewhere, they are held in great esteem. Nilson came across the band after they
had entered the walls of Ardonia and served with them against Terroreck as well as the
initial threat of Daemonstorm. He values the group not only as fellow warriors but also
considers them friends.
"Other
Characters"
Tuwatha is a Priestess of Othariss
who was sent along with the group. Although she has never led an adventurous life prior,
she seems to enjoy this often chaotic lifestyle.
Anomalin is considered a good
but eccentric wizard who inhabits the Black Mountains. Little is known about him and many
have only thought of him a legend. He holds the key to the group returning home and in
fact helped to develop much of the vast accumulation of scientific knowledge that Ardonia
possess. He, more than anyone, realized the terrible force that Daemonstorm could unleash.
Delora is
Anomalins daughter who has been sent by her father to help the group out. Her
existence is virtually unknown to anyone outside the group until Darkoth discovered it
right before Daemonstorm was unleash. Why Anomalin protected her this way is unknown.
Kad is the fairy slave to Letha
Kazan. Very little is known about him or his enslavement to Letha but he seems to have fit
right into the group.
"The Rulers and Henchmen"
King & Queen of Ardonia are
both disciples of Othariss. Although they purport to support science over magic, the Queen
seems to have a strong command of magical forces herself. The Queen is much more the
dominant ruler.
Lady Falla is the designation
given to all of the rulers of Carahill. The ascendancy to the throne is always from mother
to daughter. Carahill is an under developed kingdom that attempts to stay neutral in all
matters and this has been a consistent trend amongst all of its leaders. In the first
volume of the Realm, very little was revealed regarding the current Lady Falla although
she comes to prominence in the second volume and Legendlore.
Lord Darkoth is
the Darklord ruler of Drohm and envisions a day when he will rule all of Azoth. Claimed by
some to be a half breed, the sorcerer Darkoth is seemingly ageless and has been casting
his darkness for a great part of Azoths history. Any early days of Darkoth are
unknown but with the help that he thinks he can manipulate Sandra into, he hopes that his
name will be associated with the future of all of The Realm.
Zarkon is the blind
grand wizard of Lord Darkoth. It is he who is personally tutoring Sandra to realize the
full potential of her powers. Already he realizes that Sandra is indeed much more powerful
than either he or Darkoth thought. His loyalty to Darkoth is very questionable and in
fact, there seems to have been some episode in the past when he crossed Darkoth and paid
dearly for it. His ambition is curtailed in his service to Darkoth but never forgotten.
 |
General Ramus is the military leader of Darkoths troops. He strives to
prove himself and suffers little with incompetence of others. Feels Darkoth doesnt
appreciate his loyalty or skills enough. Norvose is the field wizard of
Darkoth. He is one of Darkoths most trusted aides. |
 |
Des
Vilba is the apprentice of Norvose. He has failed in his first few missions for
Darkoth due mainly to the unexpected powers of the group. While he realizes his mistakes,
he feels he is being punished unfairly by Darkoth and thinks Darkoth is unaware of what
they were up against.
