INTRODUCTION
The world of the Realm takes place in a land called Azoth.
It is a land of magic full of races such as trolls, dwarves, elves, ogres, night creatures
and others that we havent even seen yet.
It is a world where magic reigns yet a new form of knowledge is
coming into the grasp of those who seek it, a knowledge called science. A world where
great religions bring people together yet tear nations apart, a world where conquest and
ambition are dreams to some and nightmares to others. A world where it seems nature itself
can be twisted into the service of dark mages.
Four teenagers from a modern day suburb in Michigan are vacationing
at a remote cabin. Dom, Sandra, Marjorie, and Alex
are on spring break at Alexs recently deceased Uncle Andrews cabin when they
fight a treasure chest. Opening it, they are mysteriously transported to a different
world. The first thing they noticed was that Dom has suddenly gained a physique of a
warrior. Suddenly they are attacked by what they find out later are slave traders and the
two girls are taken. Dom and Alex find themselves lost in this unknown world and have
little hope of rescuing their two friends when they encounter an elf, Serene
Silverfawn. Silverfawn offers to help them as she too was once a slave sold on
the market in Drohm. Upon arriving, the trio find they are too late to save Sandra who has
been purchased by the evil Lord Darkoth.
They do however, manage to save Marjorie from the same fate.
As the group, now joined by a
dwarf seeking adventure, Diggorous Gorey continue to the castle of
Darkoth himself, they find out that the two other transportees to this land have also been
endowed with special abilities. Marjorie has gained the power of healing as well as
limited magic and Alex has powerful yet uncontrollable magic skills. In their failed
rescue of Sandra in Castle Darkoth, they are shocked to discover that Sandra has no desire
to leave this new terrifying place that she feels secure in
The group then decide to head to Ardonia where great knowledge is
present. It is here they hope to find some kind of clue to where they are and how they got
here. Most importantly, they hope to find a way to return home again. As they travel, they
are joined by fellow travelers such as Letha Kazan, Nilson
Radeer, Grappo Pilden, and others. They fight off night creatures, orcs,
goblins, ogres, trolls, and highwaymen as they traverse from one adventure to the next.
Azoth was in a tumultuous period. Darkoth, who ruled Drohm, one of
the Four Kingdoms, had put his plan into motion by attacking Brachman, a
kingdom that actually consisted of twelve tribal nations who had a little more than a name
in common with them. Carahill and Ardonia , the other
two kingdoms watched and waited to see what Darkoths next move would be. Unknown to
all, it would be a move that spelled great disaster and threatened the very existence of
Azoth itself.
It was discovered that Sandra had the great magical powers also and
under the tutelage of Darkoths Grand Wizard, Zarkon, she learned to
control her great power. Des Vilba, a
sorcerer in training had brought the Daemonstorm to Darkoth in hopes of gaining favor.
Sandra was goaded into opening the Daemonstorm box and Azoth would be changed forever.
The opening and unleashing of Daemonstorm is where the first series
ended. The new series picks up after the terrible ordeal of Daemonstorm has cast its
destructive wrath upon the land.
